But Why?

I drew Malek~ OUO

While drawing this, I was imagining Malek talking to someone about people being so captivated by vampires and the like... His view is something like:

"Well my problem isn't THAT so many people like them; I find it bizarre, but given how much the world's changed, that's not an uncommon phenomenon for me. No, what I can't grasp is WHY are these creatures romanticized so completely? I know what I'm about to say will sound a little bit silly coming from me, but vampires should not be treated so lightly. They aren't typically interested in humans as anything other than meals, and when they are, the result is not 'happily ever after,' believe me on that. They will do their best to drag you down to hell with them in the most horrible fashion you could imagine."
